My name is Gillian. I am an actor and a writer based in California.
Since my aunt died, I have been obsessed with the project of sorting out all of the family photographs and journals. My cousin salvaged boxes of papers, books, and photos and posted them to me–thankfully while the postal service still functioned in the US.
One yellowed bundle turned out to be the writings of Adèle de Dombasle, my great great great grandmother. Many years of research later, most of her writing has been gathered into this book by Frédéric de La Grandville who kindly transcribed the manuscripts and offered his scholarly insights. (At the moment, you can only read it in French but I hope to publish an English version very soon.)
I decided to put together this repository for all the Garreau family. Like every family, they have a few interesting stories to tell. Maybe you know some of your own?
You can get in touch with me here.
Curious about whether my voice will work for you?
